Marshall is a small town located centrally in the heart of Missouri. Located just 10 miles north of Interstate 70. From I-70, Kansas City is just 80 miles west, Columbia is just 55 miles east and St. Louis is just 180 miles east of Marshall.
This farming community is steeped in history from the charming Victorian homes to the site of the Civil War ‘Battle of Marshall’. Marshall’s City Council
City Council meetings are held at 6:00 PM on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Meetings are held in the Council Chambers located in City Hall at 214 N. Lafayette Avenue. The public is invited to attend and meetings are broadcast live on the City of Marshall’s YouTube Channel.

Notice of Tax Levy Hearing
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Marshall, Missouri will hold a public
hearing at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 18, 2026, prior to the regular council meeting, at the City Office
Building, 214 N. Lafayette, Marshall, Missouri, at which time citizens may be heard on the property
tax rates proposed to be set by the City Council of the City of Marshall, Missouri, a political subdivision
